Blog Question-Cyber Bullying

What is your definition of cyberbullying? What are some ways that kids can be cyberbullied? Should the school be involved with consequences if students are cyberbullying each other?

  2. Move to the month you were born
  3. Click on the date you were born
  4. The lead story will  show up in the middle of the screen.
  5. Read article.
Then
Fill in the form on the sheet. Write a summary with at least three complete sentences. Remember summaries should be in your own words-not copied word for word. Summarize means including only the MOST important information-the main ideas.


If you have any questions re-read directions first. If you still have questions, write them in Today's Meet and I will answer you.

Remember:



  • Keep the backs of your hands parallel to the keyboard
  • Keep your arms placed so that you are able to keep your index, middle and ring fingers on their home keys and have both pinky fingers reach the shift keys without bending your wrist sideways
  • Sit up as straight as possible (within reason!)
  • Keep your wrists straight
  • Shake out your hands and relax your eyes at the end of each lesson.

Look here for directions and links for our daily work. Sometimes you work on your own and follow the directions. Other times I will demonstrate and then you will work.  Always read the whole post for the day before you start anything.

Each question is worth 2 points.

  • In the pop-up window, type your answer
  • Pay attention to your spelling and word choices
  • Sign it with your first name and last initial ONLY
  • Choose anonymous as your identity
  • Then Click on publish comment
  • Make sure your mouse is on the button
  • You know it has gone through when you get a message that says your message has been posted.
  • Note-all answers will come to me first for approval for being seen on the blog

.5 point for name correctly-first name and last initial
.5 point for at least TWO complete sentences
.5 point for 2 or fewer punctuation mistakes
.5 point for 2 or fewer spelling mistakes.

  • Minus .25 for posting under wrong topic
  • Minus .25 for using "i" instead of "I"

There will be 5 questions throughout the cycle. They will count as ten points towards your final grade.

Directions for Saving Your Work to a Memory Stick

Step 1-Save your work in MY DOCUMENTS
Step 2-Go to File-SAVE AS
Step 3-At the top (where it says SAVE IN) change MY DOCUMENTS to removable disk or memory drive on (F) drive usually. If you can't "see" your memory stick-try clicking on "My Computer" on the left hand side of the save window. If you have problems, just save to my documents and come and see Ms. Dennis during the Middle of the Day.
Step 4-Check your file name it should include your name and something that identifies the topic (no periods or slashes!)
Step 7-Click on SAVE.
Step 8-Close your file.

  1. First go to East Hanover Schools Home page

  2. Then click on the green our schools icon
  3. Click on the picture of Middle School
  4. Click on the STI Home link
  5. Click on Student Services link
  6. Fill in your STI password and PIN # (See Ms. Dennis if you can’t remember these.)

To see homework, click on the Subject (not the teacher's name) and scroll down.

Grades and Missing Assignments are on the left. Always check with the teacher if it shows missing assignments.
